A must go experience for the exquisite Russian kitchen. We loved the place and the food. Try the Beef Stroganoc and the Piroshkis. We also ordered the chicken breast steak which was juicy and delicious and the Borsch soup and dumplings were fresh and tasty. Prices were fair compared to the quality of the food. We loved the interior and also the toilet😌

Eating at this restaurant feels like having a family dinner in somebody's living room. Mari Vanna specializes in Russian food and offers good choices starting from appetizers to desserts. All the food appears to be home cooked. I liked the beetroot salad and the Borscht soup as appetizers as well as the chopped steak and beef stroganoff for the main course. The steak was cooked well done outside and medium inside, and came with tasty mustard sauce. The beef stroganoff was tasty and very tender and came with rice instead of pasta, which was nice. The best part of the dinner was probably the honey cake for dessert, which was really amazing. Make sure to always have enough space to try their honey cake. Other than that, service was fast and attentive and the restaurant is nicely located in central Moscow near many shops. The waiters are friendly and speak good English, better than at other restaurants in Moscow I have visited. Menus are also in English. The price is fair, a dinner for two including a drink and appetizers and dessert costs about $50-$60. As a bonus, there is a cat walking around the restaurant which is pretty cool. Would visit again once I'm around.

It was one of the most interesting and fun dinners. You're greeted by the big tough dude at the front door and his adidas track suit which is hilarious, then you walk in and it feels like you're at your grandmother's house. And how can you not appreciate the fact that there is cats running around. Finally the food. It was good. Had a nice home cooked taste and everything was super fresh. This is a full out experience type restaurant and it hit all the points for a perfect experience.

I loved the style of this restaurant. It like a typical Moscow apartment. The food was great. The alcohol choice is not that huge, only a few types of beer and some wine. One should try the variety of distillate spirits made from different fruits, vegetables and berries.

Walked in without a reservation and luckily got a table right away. Very friendly employees, stating from a stylish host dressed in a jumpsuit, even the cleaning lady is wearing a bathrobe and hair curlers. Restaurant styled as an old school apartment. Really feels homely and cozy. Sleepy cat adds even more coziness. Food was AWESOME. I loved my Vinegret salad, served in crystal bowl (like the old times) and Bortsch soup was yum. Every single dish that we ordered was a success. Overall really happy with our dining experience. Recommend :)

Very nice atmosphere and decoration, the food is good, the service was a little slow but very good. The eggs shakshoka was the best. The coffee is very nice and recommended.

fabulous but very feel at home anytime I visit. All dishes are tasty and homemade. If you are Japanese, you really find “dashi 出汁” in their soup, means they know how to maximize the taste of each ingredient! Not so costly despite the location. Booking is highly required!

I really loved the décor – the pickles cabinet is absolutely iconic! I’ve been to this restaurant twice and tried every type of pelmeni. Everything was delicious!
